Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began at 14 years old. Aspen Ladd started training in BJJ, kickboxing boxing, and wrestling prior to her professional debut at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd then went on to beat three times in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All her opponents were defeated within the first minute. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian prior to going to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 and fought Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen by unanimous decision. The loss put a mark on her record as an amateur. Ladd rebounded from the loss to beat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen turned professional in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her in the first round to win a TKO. She won her next fight against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen employed the strong skills she had learned in wrestling to defeat McGill. She ended the fight with a an KO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in a "catchweight"(138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd did not make weight. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final bout with the club. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks defeated by unanimity. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She was a step ahead of Lina with her ground and pound techniques, resulting in a TKO 2nd round win. She continued her dominance and picked up a more stunning victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd finished Evinger in the first round and got an outstanding performance bonus. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first big fight. Ladd's victory was a unanimous decision and the Fight of the Night award came to each fighter. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie put an end to Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya in the third round in UFC at ESPN 7. In a recent replacement match to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. She lost the fight via majority decision.
